One of the most enjoyable and successful projects I have worked on was architecting and building a mutl-touch screen for on-air talent to use while presenting televised segments to viewers at home. The application backend was a custom CMS and RESTful services that allowed producers for the network to create segments that incorporated player stats and media from their archive. Previously, the process to retrieve data from the archive was to pull data from the mainframe servers. The new backend platform allowed for seamless integration of legacy archive data to the touch screen experience in real-time. The front end had 3 main modes a player stats comparison, draft and standings pick, and video playback.
